So today I had an epiphany. I wanted to change up my Tumblr and make it a blog about how life has been going after college. Yes, I graduated in May, and only now I thought about this brilliant idea. I think it’s because during the summer I had the mentality that I was on summer vacation instead of it’s the beginning of being thrown into the adult professional world without any floaties to keep me afloat.
Now that I’ve been in the professional world for about 5 months, I’ve realized how much I really miss being in school. It’s been a struggle. I’ve found myself applying for positions which lead to interviews but nothing more. Then I found myself getting an internship and a retail job. Wasn’t I suppose to be in these positions while I was in school not after getting my Bachelors degree?
Working at my internship and my job I’ve been able to see what I like to do and what I absolutely do not enjoy doing. It has been a good learning experience, but I’ve been thinking of so many ways to find an out. Grad school, moving away, finding a full time job that will lead to a fulfilling career…I need something fresh and new.
I will be sharing my journey to find this new adventure in my life. I can dream and plan about it, but I need to make it a reality!
